A Night Out…

A close pal and former coffee shop friend of mine brought this SERIOUS line up of a show to my attention. I don’t know if she knows of my love for laps around the dancefloor and seriously awesome BEATS but she cam to the right gal. DJ Jazzy Jeff and Skratch Bastid will be battling it out in the DJ competition finals, Thr3estyle,  this Saturday night. Wanna go? Let me know by email and you might win two tix for you and a friend. For more information and to buy tix (if you miss out on the competition) head on over to their site.

Now, on to more important questions….What am I going to wear? I am thinking of a pretty laid back, casual outfit. I want the jewelry to do the talkin’ as it usually does with any hiphop/DJ kinda style. Awww yeah.

The Shoe: Sperry’s. Okay, not that exciting. But if I’m going to be doing multiple laps around the dance floor you better BELIEVE my feet are gonna be comfy. Plus, I just got a new pair and there ain’t no better way of breaking ‘em in than Saturday Dancing.

The Jeans: I am going for a black, skinny jean. Hopefully with a little stretch to ‘er for all the movement I plan on partaking in.

The tee: An oversized grey tee is the way I like to roll. Big necklace. Lots on the arms.

A little bit of a eyeliner and a flat iron through my newly ombre’d hair and we are good to go.

Wish List/Trend to Try

A little something about me, I have a baaad nail-biting habit (it’s not THAT bad). Sick, gross! I know, I know…these puppies sure do inspire me to let my nails grow wild! My sis did my little nails Easter weekend like the second photo (or a similar thing anyway)- I felt totally ballin’ but couldn’t help but think about how much better theyd be on a long nail!

My sis did this style on my last week and it was AMAZING.

The Craft

Last night I had the pleasure of enjoying an evening on my own. Just me, my orange cat and a bowl full of Robyn’s Eggs (malt egg candies – ’tis the season!). Anyway, when left to my own devices I like to get CREATIVE. My friend Bree and I started exchanging postcards back and forth (she lives in Fredericton) a little while ago. I have since started mailing a pal in Ireland, sometimes my sis and even to my local friends. Last night I made my own envelopes and sent my friends a lil bit of love. Ain’t nothing wrong with that!

Moroccan Oil

A sweet little pressie I’d been lusting for landed itself a prime spot in my Christmas sock and in preparation for a night on the town, I thought I’d put it to use for the first time last night! What a good decision. My hair is long and wavy and now, thanks to Moroccan Oil, it’s long wavy and SHINY as all get out! Moroccan Oil will cost you a pretty penny with a $41 (ish) price tag. It’s a bank breaker, for sure, but if you have an extra few cash-moneys in your pocket, I suggest you go on down and get yerself some. It’ll last you a long time (only need about a dime’s worth per use) and your hair will thank you for it!

To use? Pour into palms of hands and run through damp, towel dried hair.

Go on, take your money and run!

Dream Hair/ Trend to Try

These bows retail for $16 at American Apparel and gals – THEY’RE SWEET. No matter the hair length (even though I only show long hair) I promise! If $16 bucks is a big splurge (hey, we can all relate to that), places like Ardene and Claire’s will totally ‘bow’ you over with their selection! I’m so clever.
